Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.

This will be my fourth annual fundraising challenge through the Matthew22 Fund! I have previously completed 4 rounds of golf in one day, the National Three Peaks Challenge, and Total Warrior! Together raising over £5,000 for Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT).

In August 2022, our son Harvey was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma, a rare form of eye cancer that primarily affects young children. It was an incredibly frightening and uncertain time for our family.

During this period, CHECT were there for us. They provided vital support, guidance, and reassurance when we needed it most. They help families facing the unimaginable, fund life-saving research, raise awareness, and support children and parents through diagnosis, treatment, and beyond.

To continue giving something back through the Matthew22 Fund, starting on Monday 18th May 2026, I will be walking the full 84-mile length of Hadrian’s Wall from Bowness-on-Solway to Wallsend in just 3 days. This will be an enormous physical and mental challenge, but it is nothing compared to what children like Harvey go through.

All funds raised through the Matthew22 Fund from this challenge will be allocated directly to CHECT to help them continue their incredible work supporting families and funding research into Retinoblastoma.

All donations, however large or small make such an amazing impact!

Thank you so much for your support!
