Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Not for me trekking to Everest base camp, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, swimming across Antarctica or cycling the length of Death Valley.
No, I've decided to set myself a real test to raise sponsorship funds for my chosen charity as part of my Bar Mitzvah challenge. My plan is to walk, on the 1st October, with my Dad, the length and breadth of London, visiting the top 13 landmarks, all whilst carrying my dog Alfie.
The plan is to hit at least 13 landmarks in one day, with photographic proof. Alfie will feature throughout!
Money raised will go to the Israel Guide Dogs UK Centre, much needed, to improve the quality of life of blind, visually impaired and disabled people. The charity provides such people with mobility, independence, self-confidence and companionship through the faithful assistance of guide, emotional support and PTSD dogs specially trained in Hebrew to meet Israel’s rigorous and challenging environment.
Founded in 1991, the charity is a member of the International Guide Dog Federation and Assistance Dogs International and operates the only internationally accredited guide dog programme in Israel. More can be found here: http://israelguidedog.org.uk/
Please donate what you can, all of which (however small) is gratefully received.
