Story
A year ago I signed up for a marathon on a whim, thinking I'd leave it to chance... little did I know that the option I chose had automatically secured me a place. I am thrilled to be participating in the Brighton 2026 Marathon - and it has been a hell of a journey getting here!
In this time I prepared by running a Half-Marathon in October, raising funds for National Autistic Society. For this I designed a t-shirt that encapsulated a little of how I felt on my own journey with neurodivergency - and the sale of this surpassed my goal.
Of course Alzheimer's is a completely different thing, however our understanding of it and its perception in the world often feels equally as clouded and elusive. And so the sentiments in this t-shirt still feel relevant to me in this cause, bringing mental health forward in its place within medicine.

£10 of each sale goes to this fundraiser and you get a cool t-shirt!
Keep an eye here, as I am also going to be hosting a streamed event of music, dance and storytelling on the 9th May, where donations will be accepted and shared amongst a number of charities (and we'll celebrate our participation in the marathon)!
Here's a little more info on the charity itself:
Every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.
We are the UK's leading dementia research charity. We exist for a cure.
Your donation helps our scientists and researchers find new ways to diagnose dementia, develop new treatments and find a cure for dementia.
