We are running a half marathon in memory of Rebecca Workman who recently passed away, after a short battle with cancer on 31st December 2025. Our family have decided that we will be raising money for Wakefield Hospice for the support and care they offered Rebecca and her loved ones throughout her final days.

The half marathon will not be an official one, so there will be no medals for those running it. However the route will be one Rebecca was extremely familiar with. The family will be running from Leeds Rhinos to Wakefield Trinity ahead of their match on Friday 7th August 2026.

Rebecca was a life long fan of the Rhinos, a voice that could always be heard from the South Stand, often alongside her family and friends. She loved an away trip with her beloved team. Rebecca was also a huge supporter of her cousin Ben, with his physical disability rugby league games. Ben plays for the Wakefield Trinity PDRL team and has successfully secured a place to the upcoming World Cup in the England Squad, something Rebecca was extremely proud of him for achieving.

All of Rebecca's love and support for Rugby League, supported the family in making the decision that to raise money for Wakefield Hospice running between Headingley, the home of Leeds Rhinos, and DIY Kitchen Stadium, the home of Wakefield Trinity was the right decision. A decision which Rebecca herself whole heartedly supported.
