Story
We are voluntary Community First Responders for the Ambulance service in the Hunstanton and Heacham areas. Our aim is to reach life threatening emergencies before the ambulance arrives. We are trained to attend certain types of emergency calls and we help stabilise the patient and provide the appropriate care until the crew arrives.
We Currently only attend Cardiac Arrests but once we complete our training we will attend numerous other Life Threatening and time sensitive calls.
We will have 2 new responders who will have completed their training in March 2025, we would like to be able to provide them each with their own kit to respond with - each kit costs in the region of £1800 - which includes, AED, Pulsox, kit bags and contents, O2 and consumables, and or course uniform and PPE.
We will also be looking at purchasing 2 specialised NMA phones (used to allocate, give information to, and map the volunteers to 999 calls)
We expect to be a busy team especially during the Summer months when we support not only our local community but also all our holiday makers. We aim to offer the best cover we can to keep our community safe. If you can spare a few pennies to help us meet our target then we will be extremely grateful.
