To mark 30 years of Christians Against Poverty (CAP), Henry Kelly and I are taking on a huge physical challenge, climbing Scafell Pike, England’s highest peak at 978 metres! and not just that,

We’ll be covering 30km (18.6 miles) over an estimated 11-hour hike (weather permitting!).

This challenge is deeply personal to me. Having grown up in poverty as a kid, I know firsthand what it feels like to go without, and I know how crushing that reality can be. It’s an exhausting way to live, and unfortunately, it’s a reality far too many people are quietly facing in the UK right now.

At CAP, we are committed to seeing transformed lives, thriving churches, and an end to UK poverty. Every day, local churches are reigniting hope and sharing the love of Jesus in action—restoring all that poverty and despair have stolen. But to keep this life-changing work going, we need your support!
