Story
Thank you so much for visiting my JustGiving page. On 15 August 2026, I will be taking on the Tough Mudder Gloucestershire challenge alongside a team of exceptional individuals to raise funds for the Carers Support Centre, a vital charity dedicated to supporting carers in our community.
Carers face overwhelming challenges every day as they selflessly dedicate their time and energy to looking after their loved ones. The Carers Support Centre provides a lifeline through essential services such as counseling, respite care, and practical assistance. These services are crucial in helping carers maintain their well-being and continue their invaluable work.
Our youngest daughter was diagnosed with craniopharyngioma, a rare brain tumour, in November 2022. Since then, she has undergone six brain operations, numerous hospital admissions, and proton beam therapy in London. Despite losing most of her eyesight, she remains an incredible young girl who delights in life with her love for music, dancing, piano, singing, scootering, loom bands, drawing, and crafts. She is supported by her guide dog and an amazing medical team committed to the best possible outcomes.
Her older sister has taken on the role of a registered Young Carer with remarkable courage and resilience. She helps with daily preparations, administering medication while providing emotional support. Thanks to the Young Carers charity, she receives emotional and psychological support along with access to activities that nurture her talents in music, acting, art, climbing, bouldering, and skateboarding.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast, and completely secure—your details will never be sold or used for unwanted emails. Every penny you donate goes directly to the Carers Support Centre ensuring maximum impact with minimal overheads.
I have set a target of £2,500 to help provide these crucial services that empower carers like my daughter’s sister and many others facing similar challenges. Please join me in supporting this cause by making a donation today. Together we can show carers they are not alone on this journey.
