Story
The west highland way is a long distance walk through the heart of Scotland. 96 miles from milngavie in Glasgow, to fort william. From flat roads to actual mountain paths. I have done it 2, technically 3 times. First time in 5 days, camping and carrying my stuff. It was hard and draining. Second time I did it both directions (182 miles) in 10 days. Again, really tough, and exhausting.
I'm 43 now and a good bit older, although not wiser, than my previous attempts. I've been incredibly inspired and blown away, having seen first hand the strength of my friend Natasha and her son Liam. I've decided to challenge myself to try and walk the whole thing, carrying my stuff and camping, in just 3 days to raise money for the charity CHAS for the work they do and support they continue to offer to my friend. This is the biggest challenge i have ever tried, however, If anything goes wrong or for whatever reason its required, I have the option of a 4th day but I'm committed to trying my hardest.....breaking myself if necessary to get through this.
CHAS do incredible things for truly incredible people. The support offered by CHAS to those who need it the most is life changing. The least I can do is use my time and physicality to try and make a small difference and help support this charity. Thank you for reading and for any and all donations, It would mean the world to me.
