On Saturday 30th May, 2026, to raise money for Tartan Talkers, we are embarking on a hike up the UK’s highest mountain Ben Nevis but they’ll be going up via The CMD Arete.

This takes in BOTH Ben Nevis and its neighbouring mountain The CMD (Carn Mòr Dearg).

They will then cross to the summit of Ben Nevis via The CMD Arete.

This is a grade one scramble and not for those without a head for heights but the views are spectacular and the challenge, a mighty one. But one the lads are up to meeting head on to raise money for a great charity based in Scotland that specialises in men’s suicide prevention.

Currently in the uk, suicide is the main cause of death in men under the age of 54.

Men are 3-4 times more likely to commit suicide than women.

It’s an important time for men

One we must stick together for and work together to get through our difficulties.

On this hike, the men will be talking about all things mental strength.

There will be social media posts and interviews with the participants along the way.

Our target is to raise £1,000.
