Ben Power was a loved son, brother and friend to many. He loved his music, football and enjoyed the occasional pint. He was somebody who expressed his love for his friends openly, and was always smiling and laughing.

On March 20th 2024, Ben Power decided to end his life. Since his passing, social media has been flooded with pictures of Ben, grinning ear to ear, happiness in his eyes in the company of those he loved but, like so many other men in the UK, he saw no option other than to end it all.

Around 4000 men a year commit suicide in England alone and is the biggest killer of men under the age of 45. There is help available to those who need it, and we would like to support those organisations in Ben's memory, to bring something positive out of the sadness and hopefully raise awareness to anybody going through something similar and not knowing where to turn.

ANDYSMANCLUB are a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. They want to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help men through the power of conversation. They meet around the country every Monday, free-of-charge and with no obligation to share your feelings. Just go and listen if you want.

2 of Ben's friends will complete the Leeds Marathon in his memory, and hope that in the process we can raise money and awareness for ANDYSMANCLUB. If you can donate anything, that would be great.
