Story
Between the 16th and 18th of October I'm walking the 102km of the Jurassic Coast for Allergy UK as part of Walk Your Way 35th Birthday Edition 2026.
This is not a gentle stroll spread out over a month. It's a personal trek, completed over three consecutive days, with the South West Coast Path as my route from Hengistbury Head to West Bexington. Along the way I'll pass some of the most iconic parts of the coast, including Old Harry Rocks, Dancing Ledge, St Aldhelm's Head, the Lulworth firing ranges, Tyneham, Durdle Door and the full length of Chesil Beach.
The challenge is real: 102km in total, with 1,440m of climbing. Friday is 33km and mercifully flat, Saturday brings another 33km with 910m of ascent, and Sunday finishes with 36km on legs that will almost certainly be feeling every step.
I'm doing this for Allergy UK, the leading national charity supporting people living with allergy. They provide a helpline, trusted guidance, and vital campaigning for better care, helping families find their way through diagnosis and everyday life.
This matters to me because my youngest, Connor, lives with severe and life threatening allergies, and I've seen first-hand how much worry and uncertainty that can bring. The medicine is improving rapidly, but training and awarness are still catching up. Something as simple as grabbing food whilst out and about can become a source of stress, and it quickly becomes clear how much trust families have to place in other people to take allergies seriously.
I can't change that reality overnight, but I can do something positive because of it.
That's why I'm asking for your support. Please sponsor this challenge if you can, and help raise £1,000 for Allergy UK. Every pound will go directly to the charity, and I'll be covering the beds, the boots and the blister plasters myself.
Thank you for helping turn this walk into something that can make a real difference. I'll share photos along the way, assuming I can still lift my arms!
