200-MILE HIKE ACROSS ENGLAND for Pancreatic Cancer UK

Wainwright’s Coast to Coast: a 190-mile hike across England from St Bees in Cumbria (Irish Sea) to Robin Hood’s Bay in Yorkshire (North Sea). · 1 August 2024
30 years ago this year, my dad died of pancreatic cancer aged just 58. He had one month between diagnosis and his passing. In 2023, my friend and neighbour Amanda also died of the same disease aged just 57.
I am walking Alfred Wainright’s Coast to Coast trail - 200 miles across England - in memory of my dad, Amanda and to raise money for pancreatic cancer research such as early diagnosis work and other projects.
It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers, yet for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case.
Pancreatic Cancer UK is dedicated to taking on this injustice using every possible means. They're supporting people with pancreatic cancer now, campaigning, and funding vital research to transform the future. Help them to make the breakthroughs that people with pancreatic cancer so desperately need.
I will be promoting and providing updates on this adventure on Instagram: Ben’s Hikes & Camps.
I will also be filming the entire hike, posting episodes of the hike on my YouTube channel Ben’s Hikes & Camps after the event.
Thank you.
