This September I will be running my first (and last!) Marathon around Loch Ness.

I'm delighted to be running for an amazing local charity called South Derbyshire CVS (SDCVS).

They help people in a huge number of ways, and I'll be raising money for their Mental Wellbeing & Befriending Services.

All of us experience poor mental health at some point in our lives. Sadly, many of us will also experience feeling lonely or isolated.

Thankfully, there are people out there who can help.

The staff and volunteers at SDCVS support hundreds of people each year who are struggling. They help them to feel connected, listened to and valued.

It is not an exaggeration to say they save lives.

I'm proud to be running for a smaller charity who might be lesser known, but do a massive amount to help people locally.
