Ben's fundraiser for Alzheimer's Society

Ben Garbutt is raising money for Alzheimer's Society

Cycling from home (Abingdon, UK) to Istanbul

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

A few years ago, my mum had to navigate the challenges of early onset dementia. Each day brought new hurdles, yet she faced them with grace, reminding me of the importance of cherishing every moment. Something like this might affect quite a lot of us eventually.

I am cycling from home in Abingdon, UK, all the way to Istanbul to raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer's Society. You can read about it at www.bencyclopedia.blog

My goal is to raise £1,500 to support vital research and resources that can help improve the quality of life for those living with dementia.

I invite you to join me on this mission. Your support can bring hope and change to many lives touched by this condition.
