I'm Ben and I'm 17 and on the 29th September my Nan Diane and I are going Skydiving at Dunkeswell in Devon to raise money for The Wave Project, a charity I love and have been lucky enough to be involved in and volunteer for!
The Wave Project is a legendary charity changing lives through surfing and by providing access to the beach through therapy that doesn't feel like therapy. The Wave Project takes people, no matter what challenges they're facing and teaches them to surf giving them confidence, happiness and a community so they don't have to have to struggle with social, emotional and mental health challenges alone.
We combine the therapeutic elements of the ocean with the adventure of surfing and a supportive culture of acceptance to help children do things they never thought possible.
They also run adaptive surfing, allowing anyone to access the water no matter their circumstances!
