Story
On 4th July Andy and I are braving the Velocity 2 Zip Wire at Penrhyn Quarry to raise funds for the Kimpton Players Playhouse rebuild.
We are approaching this challenge with some trepidation as the zip wire is 1.5km long and you can reach speeds of 118mph!
We are doing this to raise funds for Kimpton Players Playhouse rebuild. The Playhouse, in the Memorial Hall car park, is used for rehearsals and costume storage. It was built in 1969 but has deteriorated over recent years and is now unusable.
The Playhouse is an essential part of Kimpton Players - the very popular local am dram society - that puts on 3 productions a year including a Panto and an Old Time Music Hall. Past presidents have included Eric Morecambe, Yvonne Arnaud and Jenny Linden.
Your support for this very worthy cause will be much appreciated and will help to alleviate our jitters as we take on this daunting zip wire challenge!
Thank you.
