Story
Embarking on a 100Km non-stop ultra challenge is not something i've decided to do on a whim. It’s a colossal undertaking, demanding every ounce of physical and mental strength. But what fuels my determination to tackle this gruelling journey is a cause close to my heart: Kangaroos Charity.
The South Coast Ultra isn’t just a walk in the park. It’s a test of endurance, resilience, and sheer willpower. Over the course of 100 kilometres, I’ll face steep hills, rugged trails, and the unpredictable elements of nature. There will be moments of doubt, times when every muscle screams to stop, when the weight of exhaustion feels unbearable. Yet, it is in these moments that I’ll remind myself why I’m doing this – for the Kangaroos charity and the incredible work they do.
Kangaroos is more than just an organisation; it’s a beacon of hope and support for children and young people with learning disabilities. Their dedication to providing fun, inclusive, and meaningful activities is nothing short of inspiring. Every step I take, every kilometre I conquer, is a step towards a brighter future for these young individuals.
Growing up, I was fortunate enough to have endless opportunities to play, learn, and grow. However, not everyone is given the same start in life. Seeing the joy and sense of belonging that Kangaroos brings to these children is profoundly moving. It’s a reminder that while we may take our capabilities for granted, they are a cherished gift for many.
So, I invite you to join me on this adventure. Your support, whether through donations or sharing this story, makes a world of difference. Let’s make every kilometre count for those who need it most.
Together, we can turn every stride into a leap towards a brighter future.
