June for a Cause: 30 Days, 7 Events, 1 Mission.

LoungeAid is the annual month-long fundraising initiative held every June across all Lounge cafe-bars in the UK to support local charities.

Berro Lounge have chosen to fundraises for TRAIN (Didcot TRAIN Youth Project), a charity dedicated to empowering young people in the local area.

Why is Berro Lounge rasing money for Didcot:TRAIN!?

The partnership focuses on tackling local issues and providing a safe space for the youth of Didcot.

Safe Environment: TRAIN provides "The Base" in Didcot centre, a safe and warm space where young people can socialise, relax, and stay away from "risky situations" or anti-social behaviour.

Mental Health & Mentoring: The charity offers vital one-to-one mentoring and mental health support, helping over 300 young people improve their wellbeing last year.

Targeted Support for Vulnerable Youth: They specialise in supporting those who are "having a tough time," including those at risk of homelessness, exclusion from school, or exploitation.

Inclusive Community Groups: They host unique provisions like SHOUT!, a weekly LGBTQ+ youth group that is one of the only regular sessions of its kind in Oxfordshire.

Local Impact: LoungeAid specifically prioritises local charities over national ones to ensure funds stay within the neighbourhood where they trade.

Who is Didcot TRAIN!?

"It takes a village, but the village is underfunded. Our young people are inheriting a world of widening inequality and climate anxiety, all while trying to keep their heads above water in a financial crisis. Youth work is the heartbeat of our community support, offering a safe harbor when things get tough.
