Ayrshire Cancer Support provides essential services and support across Ayrshire, free of charge, to people affected by cancer and their families.

Story

During the month of May and with the support of my fellow masons at Lodge Ayr St. Paul 204, I will be taking part in "The Ayrshire 100 Challenge" to raise funds for Ayrshire Cancer Support.

Back in 2007, I did my first fundraising for ACS with a trek above Everest Base Camp and as this challenge in May coincides with the traditional month for scaling the world's highest peak I will, this time around, be walking a total distance of 100 kilometres, combined with a cumulative ascent of some 3500 metres, the height from EBC to the summit of Everest.

There are not many of us, either through family and/or friends, who have not been affected by cancer and I hope that you will be able to support Ayrshire Cancer Support, through this challenge by making a donation.

The sojourn for me throughout May will be relatively painless, unlike those who have to go through the journey which cancer takes them.
