Berwick Young Farmers Club’s ‘Muck Marathon’ is back after a 6 year absence!

On 30th-31st March 2024, 8 of our members will take part in a muck spreading marathon at Lilburn Estates, with all JustGiving donations going to the Great North Air Ambulance. Members will be supplying their own tractors, as well as forklifts and muck spreaders being kindly donated by machinery dealers and local farmers, respectively. This event is not limited to the 8 tractor driving members, as other club members are welcomed along at meal times to supply refreshments and support our operators.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) rescues hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year throughout the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. Their doctor-led critical care teams deliver life-saving treatments at the scene of the incident whether that is on a fell top, a roadside or in a city centre. The charity responded to 1,640 call outs last year alone, via their helicopter and emergency response vehicles, where they performed treatments and procedures which can mean the difference between life or death.

As well as donations received through this page the club will also be donating a percentage of the earnings from the work undertaken to the GNAAS. Keep an eye out on social media for the final amount raised.
