Story

Hi! I am going to be running (maybe crawling) my first marathon on 20th October 2024 at Battersea Park in support of Vetlife, a charity very close to my heart. I am also going to be holding a quiz night and raffle where all money will be split between Vetlife UK and Crohns’ and Colitis UK.

The suicide rate within the veterinary industy is 4 times higher than that of the general public. We are literally dying to take care of your pet. We need organisations like Vetlife because it could be me, one of my colleagues, or one of my friends. The demand in Vetlife’s services is increasing every day and fundraising for them means that they can continue to be there for all of us within the veterinary community who need support.

Any donations would be so appreciated. I will work my butt off to reach the finish line to support my colleagues and to honour the memory of those that we have lost.🩷

I have chosen to enter the Battersea Park marathon as this event supports Battersea Dog & Cat home. With Paul O’Grady being my hero, this seemed an appropriate choice!
