Story
The rate of babies born premature or sick in the UK is rising with 1 in every 7 babies needing neonatal care. Bliss is continuing the fight to improve outcomes and quality of life for these babies - but we need your help to do that.

I am fundraising for the cause "The London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025". On April 6, 2025, I will be participating in the London Landmarks Half Marathon, a marathon event aimed at raising funds to support premature and sick babies. Our target amount is £1,000, and every contribution counts towards making a difference in these babies' lives.
Teddy's Story!
Teddy’s journey began when he decided he was ready to make his entrance into the world - far too soon. Born at just 26 weeks old, three months ahead of schedule, our little boy came into this world weighing only a fraction of what he should have, and from that moment on, his fight for life would become our fight, too.
The first few days - then weeks - were filled with unimaginable fear and heartbreak. Teddy was so small, so fragile. We watched him hooked up to machines, his tiny body surrounded by wires and tubes, each one helping him breathe, feed, and fight to stay alive. He struggled to hold onto life in a world that wasn’t quite ready for him, and we held our breath with each passing hour, praying for a miracle that he would make it through the next.
There were moments of hope, but there were also moments of despair - we felt helpless and so small in comparison to the weight of what he was going through.
There were days we didn’t think Teddy would make it. There were times when the doctors prepared us for the worst, and we were left grappling with the reality that we might lose him. But Teddy, our little warrior, refused to give up. He defied all the odds, never once losing the will to fight.
Teddy spent a long 4.5 months in the hospital - But with each milestone, no matter how small, we saw that our little boy was growing stronger. He learned to breathe on his own, he learned to eat, he grew bigger, stronger, and more resilient than we ever thought possible.
When he finally came home, He came home on oxygen, still needing support to breathe, Every breath he took was a victory, a testament to the fierce spirit that carried him through everything.
Now, as we look at Teddy today, we are in awe of the superhero he has become. He is our warrior, our superhero, the boy who fought to be here, who defied the odds and overcame the unimaginable.
Teddy’s long and brave journey is a story of perseverance, and triumph. It’s a story of a little boy who came into this world too soon but proved that nothing could hold him back. He is a reminder that strength doesn’t come from the size of the body but from the size of the heart - and Teddy’s heart is bigger than any challenge he’s faced.
We are so incredibly proud of him, and every day with him is a reminder of how far he’s come, and how much farther he will go. Teddy is our superhero, and nothing will ever change that.
