Story
We are taking part in the Walk of Hope for Brain Tumour Research for the 4th year running. This year, Isabelle will be joining us for the first time.
On July 4th 2022, our lives changed forever when my Mum, Lisa was diagnosed with an incurable grade 4 Glioblastoma brain tumour. She had the Tumour removed followed on from a 6 week course of radiothery, followed by 12 months of chemotherapy to be told every 3 months that there was no tumour progression, until November 2024, it has grown back in 2 places. My mum is back on chemotherapy, and is having a monthly scan every month at Queen Elizabeth, Birmingham Hospital.
We will be taking on a 5k walk on 27th September at Elvaston Castle in Derby for Brain Tumour Research. This is our first time there, after last year at Chatsworth House and 2 years of our own planned walks at Froghall wharf and Knypersley Reservoir.
Every September, thousands of supporters like you join our Walk of Hope events or organise their own walks in their community, set up fundraising pages and make donations to help find a cure for brain tumours, which kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer.
Will you step forward in 2025 to help find a cure?
