Story
As most of you may or may not know, I lost one of my favourite people this past year. He was the funniest and kindest person I knew; giving up his retirement to raise my cousins and just building the most amazing things. He developed vascular dementia and although I only got a short time to get to know the new him as he navigated this, I still knew he love his family. So for all the support and help we got, and to fund more research I’m doing the Alzheimer’s walk again. In memory of you grandad.
Dementia is the UKs biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and currently there is no cure. We know it is scary but we must confront the biggest health & social care challenge of our time. We owe it to the 1 million people across the UK currently living with dementia to campaign for change, whilst providing vital day-to-day support. By taking part and raising money, or donating to someone who is, you are helping to do this.
Once you donate, JustGiving sends your money directly to Alzheimer's Society you don't need to do anything and it's the most efficient way to fundraise. So, who will you walk for? #MemoryWalk
