Story
In August 2023, after months of struggling, my little cousin Ollie got diagnosed with Perthes disease. This is a rare condition of the hip bone which only affects 4 in 100,000 children - but he has been an absolute trooper!
Having Perthes meant that Ollie had to stop doing what he loved most which was playing football but he also had to miss out on other things like school PE lessons, kids parties and school playtimes. However, Ollie being Ollie set his mind to getting better and found other things to keep himself occupied so he get back to doing everything he loved.
He's such a big an amazing character in our family - we love him to pieces and are all so proud of how hard he worked and still continues to. I will be running the Manchester Half Marathon on Sunday to raise money for the Perthes Kids Foundation which helps support children and their families getting through this disease by helping them adapt and ensuring the kids don't feel left out.
Any donation of any amount would be greatly appreciated by my whole family xxx
Love you Ollie, Lyla, Jo and Ben xx
