🧡🧡🧡 With Lucy by my side, we’re going to face the drop from the top of the Old Mill Lane Campus of Barnsley College. This is approximately the equivalent of the top diving board at the Metrodome, x10. Yep - every Barnsley kids yard stick! Having worked in this building, just the view down to the ground through the floor to ceiling window on the 6th floor was enough to flip my stomach, shorten my breath and make my legs wobble. So this should be sound 😬 BUT it’s all for a good cause. Lucy’s amazing, beautiful inside and out, inspirational Mum, Julie Buttery was cared for by the wonderful team at Barnsley hospice through her final weeks of life, at the end of 2024. The kindness and compassion they showed Julie and her wonderful family whilst facing such a heartbreaking time, will never be forgotten. That’s why we’re doing this, to ensure the Hospice can keep doing the incredible work they do for the great people and families of Barnsley.
