Story
At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.
We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.
My Grandma first received her Alzheimer’s diagnosis in her late 50s and passed away at 69. This was devastating for herself and our family. I don’t wish this upon anyone and want nothing more to help stop this awful disease. I want to help work towards helping and supporting families and individuals who receive this devastating diagnosis. Alzheimer’s stole her life and stole the time and memories that we should have made together. I was only young when she did pass away but her memory lives on through my mum. I am very proud of my mum who stayed strong for both me, my twin brother and most importantly herself. However some people may not be as strong as my mum and need extra support to get through this loss and this money will also go towards supporting loved ones get through this.
