PBC Foundation provides vital support and information to those affected by Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC). Our services include our helpline, regular publications, regional support groups, and the education of medical practitioners. We also support research into finding a cause/ cure for PBC.

Story

The 3 of us have taken on the challenge of running the Cambridge Half Marathon on the 3rd March 2024 and are raising money for The PBC Foundation.

Last year, our mum was diagnosed with Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC), a rare life-long autoimmune disease that affects the liver. PBC is more commonly diagnosed in women aged 35-55 and there is an estimated 22,000 people affected in the UK. There is still no known cause of PBC and no current cure. No one in our family had ever heard of this disease before diagnosis, so we're taking this opportunity to raise money and awareness for PBC.

The PBC foundation provides support to those living with PBC and facilitates research into PBC and its symptoms, striving to find a cause and cure.

Any donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated by all of us! Thank you for your support 🌟.
