Story
I’m planning to run 100k throughout October for a charity that means a lot to me, I lost a friend and team mate in March to sudden cardiac arrest on the football pitch while we were playing together for Oxford U18’s. I’d like to raise awareness and funds for the charity so that more young people can get screened through CRY charity to hopefully reduce the amount of cardiac arrest in the young.
Amelia’s legacy is about preventing sudden cardiac deaths through awareness screening and research and supporting affected families.
Please give anything you can 💛
Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.
With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.
By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions.
