Story

This charity is particularly close to my heart. When I was just six months old, I underwent major surgery at the Royal Victoria Hospital, resulting in the removal of my left lung due to a medical condition that was identified at birth. Thanks to the incredible care, dedication, and expertise of the NHS staff, I am now 19 years old and able to pursue opportunities such as competing in Miss Great Britain Belfast.

I wanted to use this platform to give something back to the NHS, support children facing similar challenges, and help families who find themselves in the difficult position that my family once experienced. As part of my fundraising efforts, I will also be taking on a 10K run with only one lung—a challenge that means a great deal to me and reflects how far I have come thanks to the care I received.

By supporting Little Heroes, you will be helping to purchase vital new equipment to diagnose and treat the hospital’s young patients, to provide facilities and services for families to fund research into children’s illnesses whilst championing our ‘Big Heroes’ - the dedicated paediatric healthcare professionals at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.
