I'm running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for The Hygiene Bank, an incredible charity supporting those in need.
Feeling clean is something that we all take for granted. Imagine having to make the choice between buying enough food or buying toothpaste or period products.
According to research, in 2024 hygiene poverty affects 4.2m adults in the UK with 21% of women and people who menstruate struggling to afford period products. The cost-of-living crisis and the inflation crisis have pushed over 1m more people into hygiene poverty than in 2022.
That is why The Hygiene Bank exists – to give people access to the basics that they need.
Any donation big or small is much appreciated and goes a super long way, and be sure to look for your nearest donation drop off point to donate any unused and unwanted toiletries!
