Brain Tumour Research is the leading voice of the brain tumour community and focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. We are campaigning to increase the national investment in research to £35 million per year and funding sustainable Centres of Excellence across the UK.

Story

We are raising money in memory of Steve Lloyd ‘Lloydie’, who sadly passed away on the 27th September 2015. This year will be the 10th anniversary, so to mark this, Chloe (Steve’s youngest daughter) will be doing the London Landmark’s Half Marathon and Bethany (Steve’s eldest daughter) and I will be doing the London Marathon.

The fundraising target will be as challenging as these challenges, £10K for 10 years!

We thought that these challenges will go some way to honouring his memory and to raise vital funds for Brain Tumour Research, as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!

Please help us fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
