DB Max #51FIVER Cotswold Standard Distance Triathlon, 21 May 2023
We raise money to help treat & beat heart and lung disease

Story

On May 21st, I'll be swimming 1500 metres, cycling 40km and running 10k in memory of Pippa.

Having undergone a double lung transplant in 2017, Pippa was tireless in her efforts to raise awareness of Cystic fibrosis and the importance of organ donation. Whether challenging herself to cycle crazy distances, wild swimming in freezing waters or crowdfunding for her cookbook - her efforts to raise funds for the hospitals that helped her were extraordinary.

Inspired by Pippa, I'll be competing in my first ever triathlon, the olympic distance 51 Fiver in the Cotswolds.

Funds will be donated to the Healing Garden at Harefield Hospital, in loving memory of Pippa - a wonderful wife, daughter, sister, doting dog mum to Sid, and friend to so very many, in gratitude to her donor and the hospitals that helped her.

About the charity

We raise money to help Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals provide world-class care to thousands of heart and lung patients each year, and to support the hospitals' pioneering work in heart and lung disease diagnosis, treatment and research.
