Betsy 300 Cycle Challenge for Mencap! 1st - 31st May 2024

Mencap wants a world where people with a learning disability gain an equal right to choice opportunity and respect. We believe that support for the families and carers of people with a learning disability is vital to achieving our vision

Story

We are cycling 300 miles in May

for the Maureen Betsy Project at Mencap!

"We are Mencap.

We support people with learning disabilities to live their best and most independent lives, we campaign for the rights of people with learning disabilities, and we are on a mission to make the UK the best place in the world for people with learning disabilities to live happy and healthy lives."

Why are we taking on a 300 mile cycle ride for Mencap? And what is the Maureen Betsy Project?

The Maureen Betsy Project is aimed to help us achieve our mission.

100% of the money raised will support the purchase of a holiday caravan in memory of Maureen Betsy, a lady with learning disabilities who was supported by Mencap for many years.

The caravan will enable people with learning disabilities to take affordable holidays without the worry of high costs caused by the cost of the support they require to book even short breaks.

Your money will go towards making this dream come true.

Please donate whatever you can afford and help us make the UK the best place in the world for people with learning disabilities to live happy and healthy lives."

Thank you for your generosity!
