Story
During the summer of 2025, we received a call that will put anyone on edge – “something isn’t right and I need to go for test.”
Those tests would eventually result in a diagnosis of motor neurone disease.
My aunty Steph – A fit and a healthy woman. A woman who ran marathons – in under 3 and a half hours! A woman who spent her whole life active. A woman who built a beautiful life and family.
Motor neurone disease swept in and caused the most unimaginable heartache and loss. A disease we, as a family, had never experienced before.
The MND Association supports people with motor neurone disease, campaigning for better care and funding ground-breaking research.
Any donation will help to change the lives of people affected by motor neurone disease in the UK.
Every penny you donate matters.
£12 could provide an information pack for a person newly diagnosed with MND
£35 could fund one of our MND Connect helpline advisers for an hour
£40 could buy an adapted cutlery set so a person can feed themselves
£75 could inspire a rising research star to devote their career to MND
£100 could provide a voice amplifier for someone to read to their children
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support.
In loving memory of my Aunty Steph ❤️
