Please help Beverley raise the most money on their colour run!
Students will be doused with coloured powder by teachers and each other as they run a course around the Mary Hare school grounds.
All proceeds go towards Mary Hare School build a new MUGA Pitch as part of the Mary Hare Foundations Sports Centre appeal. Mary Hare School is the largest national school for deaf children and young people aged 4 – 18 and a registered charity (number 1002680) Most pupils are residential as they live too far from home. The school provides a language-rich teaching environment, specialising in speaking and listening English, without the use of Sign Language in the classroom.
The main school was built in the 1950s and has been added to and developed since then as the numbers of pupils have grown: 1946 - 22 pupils and now averages 200. The sports facilities currently comprise a small 1950S gym, swimming pool, grass sports pitches, basic changing rooms that are inadequate in size and facility. Neither the gym nor the changing rooms are fully accessible. We want to build a sports hall.
