Chris's family and friends are funding raising for Support Dogs Ltd
Chris tragically and unexpectedly died on 30th August 2019. He was just 19 years old and only a few weeks away from starting at the University of Sussex to study Psychology. His long-term dream was to be involved in research or become a Clinical Psychologist.
Chris went to bed the night before and did not wake up the next morning. The cause of death later was confirmed as SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). Despite time passing his family and friends are still devastated over the loss of such an intelligent, kind and caring young man with his whole life in front of him.
Chris loved animals and already enough funds have been raised to name a puppy Chris and train them for the first year. Chris dog is now a very successful disability support dog for a lovely lady called Amanda.
Our wish is to continue to raise money to hopefully train another puppy to become a Support Dog. This puppy will be named Tweeny. These dogs will be Chris’s legacy and in loving memory of dearly loved and inspirational young man.
A Support Dog would allow someone to live their life more safely and receive vital support to help reach their full potential, an opportunity which sadly Chris did not have. They currently support people with disabilities and autism. In addition, seizure alert dogs are trained to provide up to a 50-minute warning prior to the onset of a seizure enabling the client to control their seizures more safely.
