My eldest son Daniel took his own life on 23rd April 2022.

He leaves behind his two beautiful children, family and friends.

The week he went into the funeral home, the director stated he was the eighth young male that week to be going in the funeral home, who had taken their own life.

Our Fund Raising event aims to highlight as many services locally to the community of Hartlepool. Supporting Good Mental Health promoting Suicide Prevention.

The Charity "Lets Connect" is a Charity that is well used in the community of Hartlepool and is a support system that I and some of my family have used over the years.

Fund Raising Event for "Lets Connect"

To be held at:

Travellers Rest, Stockton Road, Hartlepool

On: Saturday 19th July 2025.

Between 3pm and 7pm.

The Event will Host Entertainment from local and Teesside acts.

Find your favourite Stall.

There will be Children's entertainment - Raffles - football cards - Guess the name of the Teddy plus much much more.

It is an open air family event.

You will be able to buy a family meal at the Travellers Rest before kick off time at 3pm to help raise funds for the local charity "Lets Connect".

You will have access to information leaflets that support good Mental Health. I have visited and chatted to a few of the organisations in Hartlepool including:

Wynyard Counselling Service - The Library Hub - The deaf and sign language Community.
