Story
Back in 2021 The Kirkwood looked after my dad for the last 6 days of his life. Dad died from Lung Cancer and from diagnosis to his passing was just 7 weeks.
I have worked for The Kirkwood nearly 9 years but the care, both my dad and us as a family received during these heart breaking times, really brought home why having a Hospice in Kirklees was so very important.
Every day I speak to people, either using our services, needing our services or wishing to fundraise to support our services.
Now more than ever, The Kirkwood needs the support of our community, to ensure the care my dad, Rae received is available for those currently living with a life limiting illness.
The reality is due to the charity having a shortfall of £1.7m year on year, and with consideration only 25% of funding comes from the Gov/Trust, I feel now was the time to step in and do a personal challenge.
I don't have the courage to jump from a plane, but when Jailbreak Bad Girls Edition came up as an opportunity, I took up the challenge in the hope my friends, business network and community network will help me, raise funds for The Kirkwood.
I am due to be arrested on 28 March 2025 for being guilt of having too many holidays. For this guilty pleasure, and being part of Jailbreak Bad Girls, I am being sent to jail for the day.
I need YOUR help, please can you make a donation to get me out and released me, my family needs me, my husband can't cook or clean and my son, is likely to max out on Xbos and sweets if I don't return home the same day, to manage them!
All donations will be very much appreciated and will aid my release.
