Story

My name is Beverley Steele and I organise the charity days for Natwest Hanley and have done for the last 2 years.

I am very passionate about achieving as many donations as I can for such a great Charity - Dementia UK.

I understand there are many great charities and we at Natwest focus on a different one each year to try and spread our support.

This year I'm going to swim a mile everyday for the entire month of May 2025 to raise as much money as I can.

So that's right I will be swimming a total of 31 miles......

Please dig deep into your pockets and give whatever you can to support this great charity.

I have had personal experience of Dementia as my Grandad sadly had it for many years and it greatly affected his quality of life and his immediate support system.

I know you'll probably know someone who has been affected or is currently affected by this debilitating condition.

I'm excited to share that NatWest England is fundraising for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity that is there for the whole family.

Every three minutes, someone in the UK develops dementia - it's one of the biggest health challenges of our time. Families affected are often left feeling exhausted and overwhelmed and don’t know where to turn.

That is why Dementia UK is here. Their nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide free, specialist advice, support and understanding to anyone affected by dementia, whenever it is needed.

When you support Dementia UK, you are helping to grow the number of specialist dementia nurses.

Together, we can help ensure that no one has to face dementia alone.
