Story

Hi all 👋🏻

Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you sponsor us thank you again 😊

As most of you will know my eldest son, Jack has Cystic Fibrosis 💛 he also CF related diabetes. He is an incredible boy and goes through so much, so myself and Danielle ( Jack’s Godmother ) we’re doing this for him and all the other CF warriors 💛

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 10,800 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing.

Cystic fibrosis comes with challenges, affecting our physical health, mental wellbeing and how we choose to live our lives. But our community is uniting towards the ultimate goal of effective treatment for all.

I’m also doing this as a challenge for myself after the last 7 months. In October 2023 I got bacterial meningitis and sepsis, which then resulted in brain abscesses, I was admitted to intensive care in a coma and on a ventilator for 9 days, spending 3 weeks in hospital and over 8 weeks on IV’s to clear the abscesses. I’ve been incredibly luckily to have got to the other side how I have with only suffering some minor side effects.

LETS GOOOO

Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the charity uniting people to stop cystic fibrosis.
