Story

NEW DATE - Saturday 21st June 2025!

IT’S DEFINITELY HAPPENING SATURDAY 21st JUNE!

I’ve just had the confirmation text 😬😬😬

Hi everyone,

For those that don’t know me, I’m Beccy, mum of 3, and Chair of the school governors for the last year, (and now Vice Chair), at Penketh Primary School https://www.penkethprimary.co.uk/about-our-school/school-governors/ .

Penketh is the school I went to as a child (a long long time ago!), having lived in Penketh most of my life and it’s now the school that my 3 sons attend.

Having been a governor for the last 4 years it’s become increasingly clear how much the staff give and how much they care for not just the school but every child in it. So I think it’s my turn to do something a bit extra too!!

On Saturday, I’ll be taking to the skies to do a daring wing walk to raise money for the school (I basically balance on top of an aeroplane whilst it flies through the sky!!)

This is something I’ve already paid for myself, please rest assured it will NOT be coming out of your sponsorship money!

All the money raised will go directly to the school to help with essentials like building the new playground that will make a difference to all the children. Examples of funds raised last year provided a Forest School for the children for the first time ever.

This event seemed like a really great idea when I first had it, although now it’s Actually Happening the nerves are starting to kick in, so any words of encouragement are very much welcome!

Thanks very much for taking the time to read this. Any donation you can make is hugely appreciated, I know it’s challenging times for all of us, so every donation is truly amazing. Thank you.
