“Does anyone fancy cycling to Amsterdam?”
That was how we pitched the idea to a few colleagues who had mentioned that they were hoping to go to the ESHRE annual meeting being held in Amsterdam 7-10 July 2024.
Most smiled and told us to get on our bikes. However, Dr John Parrington from Oxford University and I have agreed to take on the challenge. John will be setting off from Oxford, whilst I’ll set off from Leicester. We plan to meet in Cambridge and then cycle on the following day to Harwich (70miles). We’ll take the overnight ferry across to the Hook of Holland, and then it’s a gentle ride up the west coast to Amsterdam (55 miles).
We’ll be raising funds for the Klinefelter’s Syndrome Association, a charity that supports people affected by KS/XXY.
We're grateful for any support on our eco-friendly challenge of cycling from the UK to Holland.
