I am running the AJ Bell Great North 10K on 6th July 2025 and the AJ Bell Great North Run 2025 on 7th September 2025 on behalf of the Silver Star Maternity Fund 0347.

The Silver Star Unit helped bring me into this world and helped care for both me and my Mum during her pregnancy. The Silver Star Unit also supported my Mum and Dad during one of the most difficult time in their lives during a very complicated pregnancy with my sister, who sadly passed away shortly after birth.

I have chosen to fundraise for the Silver Star Maternity Fund 0347 to show my appreciation for all the hard work the team do and to say thank you for giving me the greatest gift of all - life! The money raised will help the unit give the gift of life to so many other babies and give support to parents and this will allow them to go onto create special memories as a family, just as I have been able to.

I am also fundraising on behalf of the late Professor Chris Redman who sadly passed away on 13th August 2024. Professor Redman was crucial not only in giving me the gift of life but in delivering the care and support that my parents needed at such a challenging time in their lives.

I have a target of £1000 to raise so any donations, big or small will be greatly appreciated!
