Mark & Charlie's Canoedle for British Heart Foundation

Canoeing the Leeds-Liverpool Canal · 1 September 2024
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) funds approximately £100 million of research each year into all heart and circulatory diseases and the causes of them.
BHF were there for Hudson, Mark's great nephew, helping him to live with the gift of a heart transplant aged 15 months.
We are grateful for the support provided to us by the lovely people at the BHF, so we want to help them achieve their vision of a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory disease.
You can see that this cause is close to our hearts.
We are supporting this charity by canoeing from Liverpool in the west to Goole on the Humber Estuary in the east. This will be a challenging Hearts and Minds canoe trip of 162 miles for two aging veterans of the education system who still have a bit of fight left! We hope!
“This grand waterway adventure is not for the faint-hearted.” (Canal and River Trust).
