We are raising money in memory of our colleague.

Cleveland Mountain Rescue was chosen as the charity by his family.

This year our colleagues have the option of different lengths of walks along the cleveland way:

35km - Helmsley to Osmotherley

22.8km - Helmsley to High Paradise

7km - Sutton Bank visitors centre to High Paradise

The Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team was established in 1965 and normally has around 45 – 50 Search and Rescue Team Members (including probationers) who are on call 24-hours a day, every day of the year. With approximately 20 Support Team members assisting with all aspects of the team but especially fundraising and acting as casualties.

They are all volunteers; with no paid staff and the services are offered free to anyone who needs them. Reliant on the generosity of local people and groups to cover the £42,000 it costs to run the Team every year.
