Tom Bible is raising money for Wycliffe Bible Translators

Story
My name is Tom. I am a Scripture Engagement consultant with Wycliffe Bible Translators. What does this mean and why is it important?
Well, did you know that 1 in 5 people still don’t have the Bible in their preferred language? Over many decades, Wycliffe,and our overseas partners have developed a world class reputation for producing high quality translations of the Bible
We also need people who make sure that these translations can have the impact that they deserve to have. It’s a complex and often messy task. This is where I come in. My role is to advise Bible translation projects on how they can get the Scripture out and used. It may be as simple as making sure the cover of the book is appealing to the culture, or as complicated as making a Bible app so people can read and hear it on their phones. Right now, I’m directly helping about 13 Bible translation teams in 3 countries - including places where Christians are persecuted Like many other mission agencies,
One project co-ordinator said yesterday, “We really value Tom’s wisdom and experience, and we look forward to him working this year alongside our national media specialist, to help our team develop Scripture products that Baran people will engage with more meaningfully.” (Baran is a code name).
Wycliffe does not pay a salary to its members. Instead, we work on a budget for our needs and trust God. Right now we face a financial shortfall. My wife, Elizabeth, has been working part-time in the NHS. This work has come to a sudden stop. And we face a hole in our finances for this year, of £6,000 which we are trying to fill before the end of February
So we are asking people who know us and who value the Bible to think about making a donation to help us in our ministry this year.
