This will be the 5th official Bicycles Plus Vintage Bike Ride.

Our 1st ride was pretty informal but our succeeding rides always ended with lunch in the flavour of the original L'Eroica ride that takes place in Tuscany every year clebrating the bikes of an older era, when bikes were made of steel and Campagnolo and riders wore wool not lycra.

In the spirit of the meal we enjoy at the end of our ride calls to mind those for whom a meal is not a triviality.

It is estimated that 1 in 7 households in Durham cannot regularly put meals on their table and with inflation and the rising cost of groceries, we anticipate the number of people needing emergency food assistance will continue to rise.

It was with this statistic in mind that last year we introduced a registration price for the ride. Your "cost" to come to our ride is a donation to FEED THE NEED DURHAM" of at minimum $25.00.
