Story

Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with blood cancer or blood disorders and I am honoured to be supporting this charity and representing them as well as spreading awareness by taking part in the my first and probably only MARATHON 2024!!

My dad was diagnosed with B-cell lymphoma which is a form of blood cancer, he has undergone surgeries and consistent check-ups since 2012 so this charity and their cause is very close to my heart and my family.

For people who are unsure what this is B-cell lymphoma is a form of cancer that starts in a white B-cell called a lymphocyte. B-cell lymphocytes make antibodies, the proteins in the immune system that help fight infections. They are often found in lymph nodes or other lymphoid tissues such as the spleen.

Having no 100% long-term cure at this time so every penny will count towards getting a step closer to a breakthrough, not only for him but others currently with it and for future diagnosed patients!

If you wish to learn more about the charity I have attached a direct link here for you.

If you are between the ages of 16-30 years you can also become a stem cell donor. For someone with blood cancer or a blood disorder, an amazing stranger donating their stem cells could be their best chance of survival. More information is linked by clicking here.

Research shows younger donors improve outcomes

I have done a lot of events for charities in the past and present and this one is going to be a big test for me mentally and physically (26.2 miles is a LONG distance) and I will be undergoing training for the event with a personal trainer to make sure I am able to give this everything I possibly can!

Please donate what you can to help not only him but all the others affected by this disease and look out for events in the future towards this cause to join in and raise more money :D
