READ THE STORY BEHIND THIS FUNDRAISING:

Regretfully, too many children are not so good and have to put up with the limitations that cancer brings to their lives. But there is a great way to help them enjoy life too! When they get active, it will build their physical fitness and mental wellness. I have seen it with my own eyes and it is amazing!!!

When I ran the Geneva Marathon last year, I was overtaken by a couple of teams running with kids. The kids were lying on adapted bikes and used either hands or feet to help move it forward. Shivers went down my spine as the crowd was cheering for them and they were cheering for joy.

So, can you imagine what a light-weight bike could do for kids with cancer in everyday life?! You can help at least two kids, to enjoy the ride. Two may not sound like a lot, but it means the world to these buddies. They will get a new bike or adapted trike and specialist support during treatment, into recovery.

Whatever contribution you can miss, it is highly appreciated. Many many thanks in advance!

UPDATE 1: thanks to all first hour donors, I now aim to help 3 kids !!! Please keep donating 🙏🏻

See my JustGiving home page for the story of each of these kids.

UPDATE 2: thanks to all generous donors, I can now aim to help 4 kids !!! Please keep donating 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Kooper is a 2-year-old boy, who has been diagnosed with unilateral retinoblastoma in his left eye. He's currently undergoing chemotherapy, but he is almost blind in the left eye and unlikely to regain vision. Kooper has had a balance bike for a while and is good with it. This would be his first pedal bike with stabilisers so that he can get used to riding on solid foodpaths and pedalling his legs.
